Yuki Sharoni drew on
the wisdom of the East to fulfill the vision of his spa.
Indian-influenced prints adorn cushions of pedicure stations
and salon chairs - a contrast to the unadorned wet room.
Here, Sharoni replicated the subdued ambiance of Eastern
simplicity with ultramodern accoutrements such as a custom-made
Jacuzzi, $18,000, by Americh, and Vichy shower, $3,000,
by Hansgrohe Selecta, bringing the total cost of this wet
room to $30,000. His investment included neutral-toned Venetian
Tile from Texton Company, Los Angeles, furthering the theme
of simplicity. Fifty-five percent of the clientele enjoy
the wetroom. Four times a day, clients pad across the room
expectantly awaiting H2O Therapy or other wet treatments.
The H20 Therapy includes a 30-minute soak in the jacuzzi
with head and neck massage enhanced by Susan Ciminelli essential
oils and algae. The soak is followed by an exfoliation treatment
which helps relieve the bodx of toxins, relaxes tight muscles,
deeply cleanses, and helps clients unwind. Spa treatments
at Yuki Sharoni are viewed as lifestyle enhancement with
reasonable prices, which encourages clients to come back
and relax as often as they like. - Mary A. Somma
